What’s your favorite cartoon?
I grew up watching cartoons and anime. Some people point out that they aren’t the same. Some people think they are exactly the same. Can see their differences for sure but at the end of the day, anime is a cartoon. So I will choose an anime, being as I have watched more of them than anything.
My favorite cartoon would when to be One Piece.
The main character is a perfect example of what a MC should be. He’s lovable, strong, caring but takes zero shit when it comes to his friends.
The back up cast, aka his pirate group, is amazing. Each having their own individual strengths, weaknesses and personalities.
The storyline is long and drawn out so you can get a great background on each character, even the villains have phenomenal back stories.
I’ve been watching this show for over a decade. I repeat. Over. A. Decade. They have been airing for 15+ years and show no sign of being done.
We are well into the 1000 episode range and they still have enough numbers to justify a new season.
The animation has only gotten better as time moves on. The show still has massive potential to grow and move, even after 1000 episodes.
The down side is that there are filler episodes for the back stories and such but even with those. Phenomenal story telling.
It’s one of those shows where you want to finish it because it’s so good but will be very sad once it’s done.
