What was the best compliment you’ve received?

As a man, I pride myself on being a MAN. I pride myself on being a good role model for my boys to look up to. I pride myself on being the head of my household. I pride myself on making sure my significant other NEVER has to handle something that makes her uncomfortable nor would she ever have to be burdened with things a man should do.

Knowing that. The biggest compliment is that I’m a good man. Not a “good” man, like a good person, although I try my best to be that as well but a good man because before anything else in the world. That is what I am. A man. For me to achieve anything else in the world, as me, I have to be that first and foremost.

Someone letting me know that I am being exactly the person I want to be is a breath of fresh air.

Especially (this next part will be controversial) in today’s world where being “a manly man” is shit on by everyone else.

I can advocate for woman’s rights, LTGBQ rights, Black Lives Matter AND still be a man about my life. Thank you. Have a great day.
